Raymond Lee Slafka of Bremond, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the age of 67 years. He was born on April 13, 1955 to Joe Slafka and Cecilia (Lott) Slafka in Bremond. Raymond graduated from Bremond High School. He worked for Crane Plumbing for 30 years and then a mail carrier for Bremond for 11 years. He was a huge Packers fan and loved to go fishing when he got a chance. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Bremond and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Johnny Slafka and L.B. Slafka, and dog companion; Dutch. Raymond is survived by: Daughter: Billee Ruiz and husband Reymundo Jr. of Franklin Son: Raymond Slafka Jr and wife Kristen of Bryan Sister: Bena Samford and husband Jimmy of Bremond 2 Grandchildren: Brooklyn Slafka and Sofia Slafka Aunt: Helen Talley Beloved Fur Babies: Mary Ann, Stink Pot, and Fat Girl Beloved Grand Dog: Roxanne Numerous nieces and nephews A visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Bremond Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Mass is set for Monday, August 1, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Father Celso Yu officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Rick Slafka, Jeff Slafka, Greg Samford, J.D. Samford, Reymundo Ruiz Jr., Alonzo Peralez, Kip Kissinger, and Tim Slafka. Honorary Pallbearers: Leonard Groholski, Lanny Slafka, Barry Van and Gerald Yezak.
