(Published in Longview News-Journal, Longview, Texas · Wednesday, August 09, 1961, Page 16) Mrs. B.E. Mitchell Dies Wednesday Mrs. B.E. (Mary) Mitchell, 63, a resident of Longview for the past 35 years, died Wednesday morning at her home, 505 Tutt street. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Welch's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. W. Morris Ford to officiate. Interment will be in the Morris Cemetery, Upshur County. A native of Upshur County, Mrs. Mitchell moved to Longview in 1926. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was active in church, and WMU work up until the time she became ill. Survivors include her husband, B.E. Mitchal, Longview; a son, Loy Mitchell, Austin; a daughter, Mrs. James Tutt, Longview; mother, Mrs. A.H. Bland, Longview; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brother [sic]Howard Bland, Robert Lee Bland, Karnack; Eschier Bland, Elton Bland, Corpus Christi; Harper Bland, Gilmer; two sisters, Mrs. R.L. Mefford, Longview and Mrs. Marshall Green, Gilmer. Pallbearers will be Cline Rector R.L. Brawley, Raymond Magrill, Roy White, R.R. Collins and Joe Munden.
