Bio
Joanne Waller Lambert, age 87, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Foley, AL. While she will be greatly missed by her family and friends, all who knew and loved Joanne will remember her as a woman with southern sass who loved her family fiercely. Joanne was born on December 17, 1934 in Auburn, AL, to the late Annie Elizabeth Cox Waller and the late Marvin Clifford Waller of Auburn, AL. She graduated from Auburn High School in Auburn, AL, in 1953. She worked as a bookkeeper for 40 years, yet was always a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her strong Christian faith, as a talented artist, being a staunch supporter of our military and was a die-hard Auburn fan, who made sure everyone knew it! Joanne is survived by her husband of 69 years, Don, of Foley, AL; son Randy (Laura) Lambert of Opelika, AL; granddaughter Whitney Nelson of Auburn, AL; grandson Davis (Courtney) Lambert of Auburn, AL; two great-grandchildren: Hamilton and Charlee Lambert; sister in law Veeda Posey of Birmingham, AL; sister in law Vikki Kimbrough of Notasulga, AL; niece Martee (Kim) Dawson of Birmingham, AL; niece Jodee Koopman of Henderson, NV; and arguably the absolute best neighbors: the Lukers, Bushes, Kings, Bilderbacks and Brooks. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Clifford Waller and Annie Elizabeth Cox Waller of Auburn, AL. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery in Auburn. Pastor Rick Lane will officiate with Frederick-Dean Funeral Home directing.
