Soren Glenn Sabey, 86, died at his home on April 14, 2008. He resided at 660 East 700 North American Fork, Utah at the time of his death. Born September 21, 1921 in Lehi to Aaron J. and Ivy Charlotte Sorenson Sabey. Veteran of World War II, having served in the Marines. He graduated from BYU with a degree in Agronomy and major in Animal Husbandry. He married Fern Walker on May 31, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died December 30, 1992. He worked for the University of Wyoming Experimental Farm and for the U.S. Government Soil and Water Conservation Service. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a beloved leader in the Boy Scouts of America for seventy years. He served in all positions and received the Silver Beaver Award. He loved gardening, watching BYU sports, Scouting, and hiking. He is survived by his children: Sandra Sabey, Bruce W. Sabey (Deanne McCausland) and Dean W. Sabey (Jerris Faye Peck), six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork Twelfth Ward Chapel, 300 North 700 East, where friends may visit with the family from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial with Full Military Honors accorded will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
