Printed in the Times Post, Houston, Mississippi dated February 15 1968 R E Waldrop Dies in Texas Raymond Evans Waldrop, 56, native of Houston, who had resided in Texas for the past 16 years, died at Greenville, Tex., last Thursday morning. Funeral services were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel at 3 pm, Sunday, with the Rev. John Bowie officiating, assisted by the Rev. Malcolm Jones. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery. Services were held at Moore's Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas, at 6:30 pm, Friday, before the body was brought to Houston. Pallbearers were: W W Brand, Jr., David Peel, Jimmy Peel, Hugh Vickery, Auzie Myatt and David R Goza. Mr. Waldrop was born Oct. 11, 1911. He was the son of Henry Franklin Waldrop and Maude Davis Waldrop. He was a Methodist. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zora Morris Waldrop of Arlington, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ethel Burton of Arlington, Tex.; his father, Henry Franklin Waldrop of Houston; a sister, Mrs. John Hugh Simpson of Houston; three brothers, James F Waldrop of Houston, Henry Burks Waldrop of San Diego, Calif., and Davis Paden (Corkey) Waldrop with the U S Navy at San Diego.
