Bio

Mrs. Kathy E. Long, age 69 of Alpine passed from this life on Thursday evening, September 21, 2023 from the comforts of her home in Alpine. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on March 20, 1954 to the late Clay Thomas and Clarine Bates Beaty. She was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ. Kathy loved traveling to many places especially Dollywood. She never missed a chance to see Aaron Tippin and Mike Snider. Eating out at the Blue Circle "Stover's" and the Garden Cafe was her favorite pastime. Kathy leaves behind her brothers: Tommy Beaty of Pall Mall, TN, Kenny (Linda) Beaty of Pall Mall and Jim (Carol) Beaty of Alpine; nieces: Stacy Story, Christina (Jordan) Ogletree and Michelle (Donovan) Savage; nephew: Andy (Becca) Lee. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Long; sisters: Peggy Lee and Nellie Beaty; great niece: Bella Rae Ogletree. Funeral Services were conducted Sunday, September 24th from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Donovan Savage officiated. Burial followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
