Son of William Melvin "Billy" Moore and Mary Harris. Brother of Martha Elizabeth Bryan , Nannie L. Fountain , and William L. Moore . William Melvin Moore died in Rusk County August 13, 1881, and is probably buried at Caledonia. Mary Moore died February 24, 1920 in Nacogdoches County, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nannie L. Fountain. Some discrepancies: Sidney Moore's death certificate and obituary give his birth year as 1879. His tombstone gives his birth year as 1876. 1879 is correct. The 1880 Shelby County census taken June 1880 shows his age as 9/12 and that he was born in September. His obituary gives his death day as January 6, but his death certificate gives his death day as January 5. ∼ 1880 Census: Name: Sidney M.
