Allen Bond Moon, 55, owner of a fishing camp at the cut-off on the Trinity river, died at the camp Sunday morning at 7:30 following a heart attack suffered late Saturday afternoon. Mr. Moon was standing talking to a group of boys when he suddenly suffered the attack about 6:00 p.m. It was 2:30 Sunday morning before a doctor could be secured, since the high water had cut the camp off from land. Mr. Moon grew steadily worse, and the end came Sunday morning. Surviving are his wife, one brother, J.A. Moon and two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Lower and Mrs. Lula Ward. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Moon, early day county settlers. Deceased was a native of Henderson county, having been born in the Koon Kreek community June 5, 1884. For a number of years he was keeper of the Athens Fish and Game Club property. Later he took over the fishing camp at the cut-off.
