Bio

Bruce A. Koehn of Weimar, Texas lost his courageous battle with cancer August 30, 2023 at 60 years of age. Bruce was born on October 26, 1962 in Pasadena, Texas. He was raised in Houston. He graduated from South Houston High School. For 20 years he brought much joy and happiness as an event coordinator at the Phoenix Event Facility. He leaves behind husband Kenneth Hodde; sisters Lisa (Mary) Koehn of Pearland, TX and Karen (Bob) Hannan of Chillicothe, MO; niece Melissa (Daniel) Perry of Chillicothe, MO and their children Gracie, Emma, Owen and Jackson and niece Christine (David) Flores of Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mildred (Liska) Koehn. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Texas. Pastor John Hunsicker will be officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Nora, Ann, Janet and Melissa. Memorials may be given to The American Cancer Society, 2500 Fondren Rd., Suite 100, Houston, TX 77063.
