UNMARKED The internment record states Anna was laid to rest in Section 4, Range 1, 31 "L". Studying early cemetery maps, this appears to be in the Free Ground/ Stranger Ground. No visible marker exists.
Bio
Christian and Anna (Schneider) Schoneweis immigrated to America from Kurhessen, Germany in 1880. They and their four children -Wilhelmina (Minnie), Katherine (Katie), Johannes (John) and Augusta (Gustie) settled in Denver, Colorado. (Infant Maria b./d.1880, Germany). They lived at 48 Lipan Street, where two more children -Lena and Charles, were born. Katherine died shortly after giving birth to Charles in 1883. Due to the fact the five older children ranged in age from 2 to 11 years, an older neighbor couple offered to help raise the baby. Shortly thereafter the couple moved to Iowa, taking Charles with them (it wasn't until 1934 that he was located by a detective hired by the family and a grand reunion was held).
