OBITUARY for Lillian P. Sones; recent residence: TX. LILLIANP. SONES joined her husband, Charlie, in the arms of the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2009. A native Houstonian, she was born Lillian Miriam Pilat at home on Avenue F in Houston's East End on December 17, 1924. She graduated from Milby High School and began work at Bevin & Stevenson insurance agency. In 1946, she met a recent A&M graduate, Charles G. Sones, and they were married on September 4, 1948. They spent 54 years together, raised three sons and saw much of the world. She was a long-time member of Garden Villas Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church of Pearland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josie Pilat, her beloved cousin, Christine Huser, and, in 2002, her husband, Charlie. She is survived by her son Randy, his wife Beverly, and their children Graham and Chelsea; son Kenny and wife Gina; and son Bobby, his wife Elizabeth, and their children Julien and Lili. The family would like to thank the PALs in the Neighborhood at Belmont Village for caring for our Mom over the past few years. Visitation will be at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home at 5:00pm - 8:00pm Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Family and friends will meet at the First United Methodist Church 2314 N. Grand Blvd. Pearland, TX 77401 at 10:00am for a funeral service Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Interment will follow in procession to Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
