Bio

Helen F. Poyner, 69, a former actress who played in the silent motion picture era of the early 20's, died Sunday at Stanford University Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jerry Callahan, Hollywood stunt man, who later became a director. Callahan introduced Mrs. Poyner to the movies. After his death, she married Lee Poyner, a flight instructor in Kansas. He died many years ago. Mrs. Poyner had resided with her family in Palo Alto for more than nine years. She was also an active member of the Stanford Sitters Association.
