Parents were Joe Marek and Frances Bobalek, per death certificate. WWII draft card lists wife as Malvia Kilgore Marek. Survivors included his wife, Lucille of Aransas Pass; two stepsons, Joe Cluiss of Portland and Glenn Cluiss, serving with the U. S. Army in Korea; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Kropp and Mrs. Frances Jazask of Taylor and Mrs. Mary Kiel of Houston; and two brothers, John Marek of Agua Dulce and Louis Marek of Chicago ("Corpus Christi Times," December 13, 1969).
