Graveside services for Ila Richardson Buchanan, 76, of Dallas and formerly of Baxter, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Davis Cemetery near Athens with Rev. James Bond officiating. Mr. Buchanan died Wednesday morning in a Dallas nursing home following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan 20, 1905 in Henderson County the duaghtr of the last Mr. and Mrs. John Richardson. She had lived in Dallas for 25 years. She was a Baptist. Survivors include one half sister Janle Crippen of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
