Bio
Maxine B. Honey, 88, of Dubuque, Iowa, was reunited with her husband, Herb Honey, on August 1st, 2023, at Oak Park Place in Dubuque. A joint Celebration of Life will be held for Herbert & Maxine Honey on Saturday August 19th, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Grand Harbor Resort in Room Platinum A. Their entombment will be in Linwood Cemetery following their Celebration of Life. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family. Maxine was born on August 2nd, 1934, daughter of Per and Delores (Mueller) Erickson. She married Herbert F. Honey on August 31, 1974, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Maxine loved to bowl, play Hollywood rummy and scrabble, visit her sister in Phoenix and lounge in the pool, and go to dinner with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Herb Honey, her parents Per and Delores Erickson, brother Robert Erickson, and twin sister Marlene Boland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of Dubuque. Thank you to Hospice of Dubuque and the staff at Oak Park Place for their care of mom.
