Sandi was born March 29, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to parents Marvin and Fannie Belle Jeffers. Sandi was a member of the class of 1960 at North Dallas High School. In 1963, Sandi married Jack Gray, her teenage sweetheart. While raising her young family, Sandi was the quintessential stay-at-home Mom. She spent countless hours shuttling kids to and from school, church events, little league games, music lessons, and outings with friends. Sandi volunteered at the kids' schools, helped at numerous children church events, and lovingly served as a second mom to her kids' friends. Sandi was also a loving and faithful helpmate to her husband Jack. She partnered with him volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission, encouraged him as he taught small group Bible studies, supported his service in church leadership, assisted as he organized faith-based retreats, and edited his weekly newsletter on biblical prophecy. After the kids grew up, Sandi entered the workforce in two occupational fields. She worked in doctors' offices where her caring demeanor was a comfort to so many patients. Sandi also worked in administrative roles at multiple churches where she loved serving her brothers and sisters in Christ. Sandi was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, loving wife and mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, devoted friend, supportive encourager, affectionate caregiver, compassionate role model, thoughtful advisor, nurturing spirit, patient helper, sacrificial advocate, protective guardian, kind and caring soul, generous hugger, hospitable hostess, selfless giver, music lover, and a blessing and inspiration to many. Sandi was called home to heaven on July 29th, and no doubt was greeted with "well done good and faithful servant." The family is absolutely confident that she is thoroughly enjoying being in the presence of our loving Lord and Savior.
