Services for Katherine Slagle, 77, Athens will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Steve Boehning officiating. Burial will be at the Davis Cemetery. Mrs. Slagle died at the East Texas Medical Center Athens Friday evening. She was born Sept. 16, 1918, in New York City, New York., the daughter of Harry Carl and Marie Lucie Eleanor Lagonterie Rice. Survivors include her husband, Reagan Slagle of Athens; two sons and daughters-in-law, Reagan Carl and Barbara Slagle of Houston and Michael Burge and Renae Slagle of Spain; a daughter, Patricia DeHart of Plano; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters.
