Bio
Linda "Carolyn" James Reed passed away peacefully at her home on July 10, 2023. She was born on March 26, 1951 to Will and Irene (Bezdek) James. She graduated from Marlin High School in 1969 and attended UT Arlington and MCC. She married Johnnye Wayne Reed on November 21, 1973. She stayed home raising her babies and then worked in Acquisitions at Waco-McLennan County Library. She loved reading and she loved making crafts. Carolyn was great at many things, but she was exceptional at being a wife and mom. She will be incredibly missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Amanda, and husband. She is survived by her children: John Reed and wife Nancy, Jennifer Walpole and husband Steve, Jessica Sutherland and husband David, and Jacob Reed; her grandchildren: Colby, Hailey, Johnnye, Jaden, Journey, Jules, Jillian, Jackson, Jeorgia and Josie; one great-granddaughter, Bradlee; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Graveside service will be held at Waco Memorial Park at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 13th. "A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved."
