Bio
Gerald Custer Reeves, the son of Zelmer Reeves and the late Carmen Hardin, was born on Monday, March 14, 1928 in Piggott, Arkansas. He died Monday, July 10, 2023 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas at the age of 95 years, 3 months and 27 days. On March 9, 1958, in Greenway, Arkansas, Gerald was united in marriage to Mary Martha Atchley Reeves, who proceeded him in death on December 31, 2022. Gerald was a veteran on the United States Navy. He is survived by 3 sons Perry Reeves of Kennett, Missouri, Jerry Douglas Reeves and Ronnie J. Reeves both of Holcomb, Missouri; 4 daughters Theresa Hostetler of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Victoria Seats of Holcomb, Tammy Watson of Paragould, Arkansas and Tena Turner of Kennett; 1 sister Joann Bush of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 1 brother Joe Roger Reeves of McKenna, Washington; and a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Reeves, daughter, Piper Loraine Reeves and nephew, Little Ronnie Reeves. Visitation will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, July 14, 2023 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri with Funeral Service immediately following at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Pastor Justin Sherrill officiating. Burial will be at Pine City Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri with Military Rites.
