OBITUARY -------------- Shelton --- Sarah Evaline Shelton, 41, died at the home of her brother, Harry E. Ramsey, 1203 East Oakland street, at 12:15, Friday morning, following an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Shelton, a member of the Baptist church, lived at Mead, and was visiting her son here. Relatives who survive, besides her husband, Frank Shelton, include four daughters, Bobby Ruth Shelton, Frankie Shelton and Mrs. Ada Cagle, all of Mead, and Mrs. Pauline Powers of Durant; two sons, Fred and Jim, both of Mead, and her brother. Funeral was held at Gaskill chapel, Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, with Rev. Mack McCray in charge of services. Burial was at Sulphur. (Shawnee Evening Star - Fri., Nov. 6, 1936, pg. 1)
