A graveside service for Mr. Chapman will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 , at 2:00 PM at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Mr. Jimmy Nix officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Carroll Wayne Chapman (known as Crowbar to many) was born to Jeff and Minnie Chapman in Big Spring, Texas, on June 29 1935. He married Bernell Davis Kruse on September 2, 1962. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2016. He was a graduate of Big Spring High School and served in the U. S. Army 2 years. He worked for various oil companies and lived in Dallas working for Schlachter Oil Co. for many years. They returned to Snyder when he retired. Survivors are Patricia and Jimmy Nix of Snyder; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and one sister Janice and Johnney Witcher of Midland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife and her sons Stanley and Jerry Kruse; his parents; one brother as a child, Richard Lynn. No Visitation is planned.
