She earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baylor University in 1967. Linda began her career at Reicher Catholic High School in Waco before moving back to Bryan in 1968. She was band and choir director at Anson Jones Junior High School from 1968 to 1972, band director at Stephen F.
