Clarence Hubert Fraser, 84, owner of Fraser's Market on Nashville Highway, died Tuesday afternoon at the Maury County Hospital following several weeks illness. Funeral services for Mr. Fraser will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 am at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mr. Arthur Hardison, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. A native of Maury County, he was the son of the late Charley M and Tennie Bates Fraser. He was married to the former Lillie Mae Wantland who died March 7, 1970. Mr. Fraser was Court Officer for Maury County General Sessions Court for fifteen years. Survivors include sons Charles Fraser of Columbia and Sgt. Clyde Fraser of Shelbyville; brothers Roy Fraser and Ocey Fraser, both of Columbia ; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Norman Fraser, David Brown, Richard Brown, William E. Pitts, Clayton Thurman, O.F. Smith, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the Maury County Sheriff's Dept., Loyd Fraser, Harry Shaw, and Dr. James Kelley. Columbia Daily Herald 20 Dec 1978
