James was the eldest of three children born to the couple during their marriage together. On July 18, 1941 in Jefferson, Alabama, James Dewey Bryan was married to Prudence Lorene Millican. James and Prudence Bryan had two children together during their marriage. James Dewey lost his wife on June 25, 1996 and his son, David Harry Bryan, on October 13, 1997. David Dewey Bryan was registered for the US World War II draft on July 1, 1941 in Hayden, Blount County, Alabama. David was 5 foot and 11 inches tall. He weighed 160 pounds and had brown hair and blue eyes. David had a light complexion and was employed with T.C.I , Fairfield Steel of Alabama at the age of 21. James was enlisted into the Army during World War II on August 17, 1944 and was relieved of duty on April 18, 1946. On November 9, 2003 James Dewey Bryan passed away at the age of 83 in White Bluff, Dickson County, Tennessee. Mr. Bryan wishes was to be cremated and for the family to have a memorial service at a later date.
