Mr. Bass died in a Dallas hospital at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Knox Bass; 2 sons, a daughter, a stepson, 2 stepdaughters, a brother, George Bass Jr., Gun Barrel City; a sister, Lawanda Wheeler, Lewisville; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bass was born in Lockett, Texas to George & Margaret Bass. A veteran of World War 11, he was a retired mechanic and a Baptist. Burial was at Yantis Cemetery in Wood County.
