Bio

Charles F. Fendrych, 84, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away April 7, 2012. He was born March 11, 1928, to John and Josephine Fendrych in Moore, OK. Charles retired from TAFB. He was voted most outstanding in high school. Charles heard his country's call and joined the U.S. Army, serving with the military police in Japan and escorting the prisoners from Asia to their trials. He is survived by brother, William Fendrych and wife Margaret; and sister, Anna Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine Fendrych; brothers, Johnny Fendrych and Jimmy "James" Fendrych; and sister, Josephine Miller. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore, OK. Interment will follow at Czech Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK. Published by Oklahoman on Apr. 10, 2012.
