Bio

Annie Laurie Toponce, 76 went to be with our Lord on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at North's Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 6-7:30 PM at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St. Annie was born June 28, 1931 in Tell, Texas to Woodfin Grady and Lillie Bell Anderson. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who taught her family about strength, courage, a strong faith in God, peace and unconditional love. She lived most of her life in Abilene, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emmett Toponce, and son-in-law Keith Duane Coolman. She is survived by five children, Larry & Judy Toponce of Buffalo Gap, Donna Coolman of Abilene, John & Ruth Stone of Midland, MI, Sandra Israel of Abilene, and Nancy & Rudy Arredondo of Lubbock; nine grandchildren, Christopher & Susan Toponce, Wendy & Jerry Klohn, Toni Watts, Shane Toponce, Glen Coolman, Kristie & Cody English, Cullen & Andrea Coolman, Angela & Craig Nelson, & Christian Grand; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Ashley & Tyler English, Robert & Kacie Coolman, Austin & Zoey Klohn, Stormy & Ethan Toponce, Liz, Brandon, & Jonathan Watts, Brittany Gonzales, & Matthew & Ashton Toponce. The family would like to give special thanks to Royal Estates, Sears Methodist Nursing & Rehab, and Hendrick Hospice for their dedicated care and service.
