Mrs. Tom Friddle Dies Wednesday; Rites Set Friday Mrs. Tom Friddle, life-long resident of Hopkins County, succumbed at the Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs Wednesday afternoon following an illness of several months. She was born June 10, 1881, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs J. N. Owens who resided in the Star Ridge community. She was married to Tom Friddle, who survives, July 6, 1908. A member of the Baptist church of Greenpond, Mrs. Friddle was held in high esteem by a host of acquaintances. Funeral services will be held from the Greenpond Baptist church Friday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock with burial in the cemetery there, with Murray Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Immediate survivors in addition to her husband include nine daughters, Mrs. Grady Fletcher, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Raymond Freeman, Coolidge, Ariz., Mrs. Robert Crenshaw, Pampa, Texas, Mrs. C. T. Franks, Mrs. Roy Jones, Miss Carrie Nell Friddle, all of Dallas, Mrs. Ann Hockett, Okla., Mrs. Eddie White, Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Buford Cook, Como; four sons, Lloyd, Avon, Pat, and J. T. , all of Como; one brother, John Owens, Cherokee County; a sister, Mrs. Leonard Baxley, Reily Springs; and 23 grandchildren.
