Shuch-Romont Nuptials Miss Josephine Romont, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Romont, 521 Third street, Rock Island, has gone to Chicago where she will become the bride of John Stuart Shuch of Chicago, son of Mrs. Mathilda Breining, 1318 Fifth avenue, Rock Island. The ceremony will take place in Chicago and the bridal couple will reside with the bridegroom's sisters, Mrs. Minnie Collins and Miss Iva Shuch at 3907 Guthrie street, East Chicago, Ind. Last worked 26 Nov.1969 at International Harvester Co., Farmall Works in Rock Island for 15 years. Prior to that he had been at the East Moline Works for eight years and also had been employed by J. I. Case in Rock Island. Charter member of SPEBSQSA (Barbershop Quartet organization). Served as director and secretary-treasurer of the J. I. Case credit union which he had assisted in the formation of. He assisted in the formation of Local 814 of the UAW-CIO at J.I. Case and was its first president. Founder of Stuart's Bayou Park Outdoor Recreation Club on Big Island and served as president until his death. Stuart J. Shuck of Big Island died age 60 at St. Anthony's Hospital. Survivors: widow; daughter Mrs. Harry T. Walker of Big Island; son Stuart M. of Big Island; sisters Mrs. Carl Ruth of Sanford NC. and Mrs. James Palazzolo of Gary IN.
