Bio

(Bio by Crackers #18060492) Meyers Creek Cemetery. This is the name of the cemetery I was given by a cousin that has researched for many years and she lives in Clark County, Arkansas. James brough his family to Arkansas from Cass County, Georgia around 1858 and settled near his brother, John H., that had been there for about ten years. Most of my information I credit to cousin Azalee Tallant. It can be found in the Tallant Family Book titled "Our Book" the Richard Tallant 1768-1832 section. James was my husbands gr-grandfather. He was married to Matilda Mitchell 25 Aug 1836 in McMinn County, Tennessee. They moved to Cass County, Georgia where all of the children were born but the last one who was born in Arkansas in 1859. Sarah J., Richard, Mary Ann, John Allen, Permelia C., James R., William Greenberry, Martha, Lydia C, Enoch Elija and Elisha D. who was born in Arkansas. My husband was the grandson of Richard, born 26 Mar 1839 in Cass County, GA.
