A celebration of life will be held for Christene Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hilliard Funeral Home. Lois Christene Hendrix Hall was born April 3, 1937. She was "the Baby" of the family, born as the twelfth child of James Barney Hendrix and Minnie Oquila Price Hendrix. Only nine of the twelve children lived to be adults. She grew up in Edom, Texas and attended school in Edom and Brownsboro. Christene was a cheerleader for the Brownsboro Bears and was very active in sports. She spent her adult life in Ft. Worth, Canton and Lake Palestine. She married Rayburn D. Hall on May 30, 1953. They went to the Athens Fiddlers Contest for their honeymoon. Together, Rayburn and Christene had three children, Kathy, Rocky and Robby. Christene worked for the Tyler Candy Co. and Pangburns Candy in Ft. Worth. She retired from East Texas Medical Center, after many years of service. She passed away at the age of 81 on January 20, 2019 in Kilgore. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; five sisters; a son, Rocky Dale Hall; and a grandson, Rusty Durell Hall. Survivors include her two children, Kathy Hall and Robby Hall; nine grandchildren, Kristin, Cody, Jody, Marcie Beth, Rowdy, Rusty, Dustin, Tabetha and Eli; nine great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Robby, Kaleb, Kadence, Koner, Reagan, Sam, LaDamion and Syrenity; and two great-great-grandchidren, Kaylee and Aiden.
