Walla, 94, of Touhy, NE, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE. She was born February 8, 1929 on the family farm near Valparaiso, NE to Frank and Josephine (Furasek) Steyer. Rose attended District 116 country school and graduated from Valparaiso High School. Rose continued her education at UNL where she received a teaching certificate. Rose taught country school, for many years, at District 115 between Touhy and Valparaiso. She was a member St. Vitus Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and American Legion Post #371 Auxiliary. She is survived by her sister, Blanche Walla; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Walla; siblings, Marie Cuda, Bessie Voboril and Andy Steyer.
