Bio
Betty Leigh Stanislav, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 25th at the age of 90. She peacefully departed this world at her home in Lincoln Nebraska surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on July 17, 1932 in Central City Nebraska to Mildred and Irl Larson. Betty found great joy in her marriage to Jim Stanislav. Their union on March 26, 1950 in Central City Nebraska brought immense happiness to both of their lives. Together, they created a beautiful and loving home in Central City. During her life, Betty taught Sunday school, bible school and helped with the girls 4H as a leader. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Chamber of Commerce and SCS-ASCS soil conservation service for 17 years. She loved to put together puzzles, play dominos, reading, watching jeopardy, dining out at Wendys and emailing her friends and family. Betty's memory will forever be cherished by her daughter Sheila and her husband Walt Johnson of Lincoln Nebraska, her son Richard and his wife Mary Stanislav of Central City and her daughter Janette and her husband Tom Reifenrath of Eagle Nebraska. Her sister Carol and her husband Jim Cornell of Lincoln Nebraska and their family was forever grateful when Betty moved to Lincoln in 2005 to be closer to them. She was also adored by her nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren resulting in five generations. She was deceased previously by her husband Jim Stanislav, her brother Ken and his wife Shirley Larson, and her parents. A celebration of Betty's life will held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 @ 2:00 pm followed by cake and coffee at Wyuka Funeral Home and Cemetery at 3600 O Street in Lincoln, NE 68510.
