DENISON, TX - Ivy Eleine Grissom, age 91, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 17, 2008. She died at Texoma Medical Center Hospital surrounded by her family. Mrs. Grissom was born December 23, 1916 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma to Clyde and Lizzie (Whitson) Fowler. Ivy married Jesse Emery Grissom on December 19, 1938. They were happily married for almost 30 years before his passing on April 9, 1968. She loved the Lord and her family. Ivy enjoyed taking care of children who affectionately called her "Granny." She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Grissom is survived by: DAUGHTER: Carolyn Boen and husband Warren of Denison, Tx. SON: David Grissom of Denison, Texas GRANDCHILDREN: Felicia Rendon and husband Dino of Denison, Tx. Nick Boen of Denison, Tx. Crystal Rea and husband Chris of Haltom City, Tx GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Joey McDonald, Jennifer McDonald, Jessica McDonald and Colton McDonald. GREAT- GREAT- GRANDCHILDREN: Thomas Rendon, Natalie Rea, Dane McDonald, Haley Cunningham, and Ge Ge Cunningham. SISTER: Florence Roark. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER BELOVED HUSBAND: J.E. GRISSOM GRANDSON: Jeffrey McDonald PARENTS: Clyde and Lizzie Fowler FIVE BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday March 20, 2008 at Rosedale Cemetery at Ada, Oklahoma. Rev. Jody Newberry will be officiating. HUSBAND: J.E. Grissom
