Ennis (TX) Daily News May 23, 1977, p. 1 (extracted from Browning and collateral family research records of Ruth Hasten Walsh) Mrs. Alma Lavonia Browning, 67, Waxahachie, died at a Dallas hospital. Funeral services were pending with the Bose-Mitchell Funeral Home. Mrs. Browning was a lifetime resident of Ellis County. A member of the Ferris Heights United Methodist Church, she was a member of Robekah Lodge 3?1, Waxahachie. Survivors include 4 brothers, Claude, Homer and R. Lynn Almond, all of Waxahachie, and T. F. Almond of Texarkana; 2 sisters, Mrs. Burnie Tate of Waxahachie and Mrs. Garnett Tate of Dallas
