Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, July 2, 1908, Page 1, Column 5 A Sad Death It is with much regret that we announce the drowning of little Paul Fisher, the 18 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fisher, who reside about 2 ½ miles northwest of Comstock. This sad event happening about eight or nine o'clock last Wednesday morning. It seems that little fellow strayed from the house while his mother was very busy, to search for it's father, who was at work in the field, and accidentally fell into a pond of water, and drowned. As soon as he was missed search was instituted which resulted in the discovery of the body face downward in the pond. Strenuous efforts were made to resuscitate the little one, but all were without avail. Funeral services were held at the Wescott Congregational church, Thursday afternoon, Rev. Chas. Howard officiating, and the remains tenderly laid to rest in the Round Valley Cemetery east of town. In behalf of the bereaved parents, the News wishes to extend to them the sympathy of the entire neighborhood. --Comstock News
