Adam Hvezda Funeral Rites at Ord Friday Adam Hvezda, son of Matt and Dorothy Slegel Hvezda, was born December 25, 1875, at Omaha and departed this life at a Yankton hospital in Yankton, South Dakota, on February 28, 1961, at the age of 85 years, two months, and four days. He had been in ill health the past two years. Mr. Hvezda moved from Omaha to the Arcadia vicinity and lived there the greater share of his life until about 14 years ago at which time he moved to Hill City, South Dakota. He was married to Nellie Stone in 1900 and following her death in 1916 he was married in 1922 to Emma Krunda. She died in 1936. Others preceding him in death were his parents; two sons; one daughter; four brothers; and three sisters. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gould of Gunnison, Colorado, and Mrs. Nellie Drake of Central City; one brother, John Hvezda of Sargent; 11 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Hastings-Pearson Chapel in Ord Friday at 2 pm. Burial was in the Round Park cemetery east of Comstock.
