Daniel Joseph Sykora, age 87, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1935 in Ennis, Texas to Frank and Mary Zabojnik Sykora. He was raised in Paden, Oklahoma and graduated from Paden High School. Dan attended Oklahoma State University for 2 ½ years and later graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma while working full time. He served in the United States Army in San Antonio and received an Honorable Discharge. He married Mary Duke on June 7, 1969 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dan was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration for many years as a computer programmer, systems analyst and supervisor, and retired in 1990. Dan and Mary enjoyed going on trips, OSU sports, playing golf, bowling, and traveling in their RV. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James and David.
