Bio

Mildred Louise Jeffries, 89, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, in Midland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Primitive Baptist Church, 914 W. Colorado Ave., with Elder Jeremiah Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mildred was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Memphis, Mo., to Orfa and Dolphine Rector. Her membership at Primitive Baptist Church was a large part of her life that she greatly loved. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Elder Marvin Jeffries; and a son, Steve Carl Jeffries. Survivors include a stepson, Charles Jeffries; three granddaughters, Geena Jeffries Mattox, Susan Jeffries and Cyndee Jeffries; and three great-grandchildren, Zoe Jeffries, Emily Mattox and Ash Hendon.
