Bio
Lisa Ann Somer left us to be with our Heavenly Father. She passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at her home in Visalia, January 6, 2011 at the age of 49. Lisa was born on June 30, 1961 in David City, NE to Adrian and Margaret Novotny Krenk. She shared the same birthday as both her father and sister. She married Randall Somer on January 25, 1980 in Grand Island, NE. They resided in Grand Island, NE, Warner Robins AFB in Georgia, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho and Visalia, CA. Lisa is survived by three sons: Brian Somer of Grand Island, NE, Nick and James Somer, and her mother Margaret Novotny Krenk of Visalia, CA. Also surviving are two brothers and three sisters: Leslie and Keith Krenk of Visalia, Ca, Linda Mulinix, Eugene, OR, Valerie Brakeman, Hanford, CA, and Karen Kalfayan, Visalia, CA. Lisa is also survived by two grandsons, Jayden and Ryan Somer, and her former husband, Randall Somer, all of Grand Island, NE. Lisa was preceded in death by her father Adrian Krenk and her grandparents. Lisa was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Visalia, CA. She loved babies, gardening, fishing and making friends. Everyone who met Lisa immediately became a friend. She was such a generous, compassionate and caring person who would comfort and help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary at Miller's Memorial Chapel at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Visalia, CA.
