Bio

Thomas Matthew Fryar passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his home. Born March 13, 1961, he was the son of Sarah Janet Marsh Fryar and the late William A. Fryar, Jr. A native of Guilford County, he lived in Columbia, SC where he practiced law. He earned his BA degree from Wake Forest University and his law degree from the University of South Carolina. Thomas loved cooking and tending to his flowers. Surviving is his wife, Debi, as well as a daughter, Garet (Ryan). Also surviving is a grandson, McCoy, mother, Janet Fryar, and brothers, William (Ruth), Michael (Debbie), Stephen (Chris) and Philip (Dana). Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Incarnation Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC. A 3:00 pm graveside service and burial will be held Saturday, April 22 at Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gibsonville, NC.
