Bio

Linda Ellen Lathrom Johnson passed 5 Feb 2016 Linda was born October 6, 1937, the daughter of Kenneth and Clella Garner Lathrom in the Missouri Ozarks of Wright County. After high school, Linda accepted a position in Fort Worth in the personnel department of Convair (later known as General Dynamics). She met and married the love of her life, Norman Johnson in 1960. They were blessed with 3 children. Linda and Norm enjoyed many things, especially motorcycles and were members of the Cycle Club of Fort Worth. They owned and operated Johnson Grocery on Hemphill until Norm passed away from an illness in 1981. Besides being a loving mother, Linda possessed a great gift of caring for those she loved. Later in life, she experienced the joy of reuniting with her first born daughter, Georgiann. Linda was well known as Grandma by all her children and grandchildren's friends. She touched the lives of so many of her friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda has joined in Heaven her husband, Norman Johnson; sister, LouAnn Nettleton; brothers, Wesley D. Lathrom and Wallace "Wally" Lathrom. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Georgiann (Michael) Sanders, Normalyn (Charles) Dillard, Monica Morgan; son, Kenneth C. Johnson; step-son, Sterling Johnson; sisters, Audrey (Mike) Thomas, Diane (Rick) Yates; brother, Larry (Elaine) Lathrom; grandchildren; J.W. Morgan, Norman Johnson, Carly Johnson, Travis Bentley, Blake Cunningham, Devon Johnson; 4 great grandchildren; extended family and dear friends. Celebration of Life: 2:00 pm Monday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes in Fort Worth.
