Bio

Marion Louise Turner Fleming, age 82, entered her eternal home on January 31, 2005, to be with her heavenly father. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on January 9, 1923, to the late Edison Turner and Edna Rieche. She was a life-long resident of Saline County. In addition to her parents, two grandchildren, Paul Farmer and Jerry Dobbins also preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, John Fleming of the Springhill community; five children, Leslie Farmer and husband Gene of Seadrift, Texas, Janet Fooks and husband Boyd of Haskell, George Fleming and wife Linda of Hot Springs, Susan Brown and husband Ronnie of Springhill, and Gary Fleming of Benton; one sister, Edith Chapman of Little Rock, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fleming was a member of Springhill Baptist church for fifty years. She will be remembered by her gracious hospitality and home cooked meals. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting and camping with family and friends. Funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Springhill Baptist Church with interment following at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Springhill Baptist Church, Missionary Baptist Seminary of Little Rock, and Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice Program. [from Roller Ballard Funeral Home online obituary]
