OMAHA WORLD-HERALD Omaha, Nebraska Thursday, 26 March 2015 MeKiney, James R., Mar 23, 1940 - Mar. 21, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Margaret; daughter, Chris; grandson Nicholas; sister, Margaret. Jim passed peacefully into God's arms at home surrounded by family after a courageous fight with heart disease. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jim started barbering for his father, Bob, at the age of 16 and has owned his own shop since he was 19. Survived by wife, Sandi; children, J.R. (Joni) MeKiney, Catherine MeKiney, Patrick MeKiney; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several relatives, friends and loyal customers; loving dogs, Lucille and Maggie. MEMORIAL MASS Saturday, March 28 at 10am St. Bernard's Catholic Church. NO VISITATION. After the mass please join us to celebrate Jim's life. In lieu of flowers memorials to favorite charity.
