Bio

Janice Earlene "Jan" Doty, 78, of Bloomington passed away on March 19, 2023 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born November 28, 1944 in Scottsdale, Illinois the daughter of Earl Winford and Annamay (Behn) Peters. Janice was a 1962 graduate of Bloomington High School. And she attended Indiana University. Janice was a dispatcher for USF Holland for many years and then she worked for the Monroe County Clerk's Office as a expunge clerk for over 15 years before retiring. She was a member of the American Legion Post 18 in Bloomington and the Bloomington Chapter of the Eastern Star. Janice enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, playing Euchre, going to the casinos. Janice was a loving mother. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren very much. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Janice is survived by her daughter, Stacey Webster of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Zachery S. Hamm; Matthew A. Doty and Savanah Doty all of Bloomington; her great grandchildren, Makenna and Lillyanna; her sister, Merijane (Jim) Harding of Bloomington; her niece, Jennifer White; nephew, Matthew Harding. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Annamay Peters; and her son Devin Alan Doty. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
