Keith was the second child born to Dellen and Jeanette (Scheffler) Davis. He was born on September 18, 1947 at his grandpa Scheffler's farm outside Barnesville, MN. When he was still a toddler, the family moved to Kindred, ND, where he would live most of his life. He joined the Navy in 1964, at the age of 17. He was stationed at multiple West Coast naval stations as an aviation electrician and served three tours in Vietnam. Following his separation from the Navy in 1972, he returned to North Dakota, where he began an almost 30 year career with Cass County Electric Coop as a journeyman lineman. He was initially based in Arthur, then transferred to Valley City. The bulk of his career was spent in Kindred. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and playing cards with family and friends. Keith's greatest passion was his family. He was a single father to three daughters. He never missed a school engagement – he attended every play, volleyball match, track meet and fundraiser. Keith opened his home to many of his daughter's friends – his home was the premier place to gather – Keith went to bed early and didn't hear well. He also hosted several foreign exchange students over the years. Keith reconnected with his soulmate, Linda Kensinger, in 1995; they married on January 17, 2003. They lived in Kindred for many years, where Keith was known as "the walker" – he walked many miles around town, stopping to visit and befriend many. They have enjoyed splitting their time between Buckeye, AZ, Star Lake, MN for the past 15 years and recently moved to West Fargo. Grateful to have shared his life are his wife, Linda; daughters, Dawn Davis, Aleta Davis-Johnson, and Amy (Chad) Koller; three step-children; six grandchildren; sister, Donna (Glen) Blanchard; brother, Duane (Brenda) Davis; sisters-in-law, Pat (Al) Otto, Joyce (Bruce) Hendrickson, and Terri (Jim) Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Davis; brother-in-law, Bill Hendrickson; and sister-in-law, Marcia Cowans. Adapted from Boulger Funeral Home obituary
