Repository, The (Canton, OH) - Tuesday, December 5, 2000 Walter J. Anthony, age 82 of Canton, passed away Monday morning, December 4, 2000 in Windsor Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born in Canton, OH, November 8, 1918 to his parents the late Walter N. and Mae E. (Smith) Anthony, he was a 1938 graduate of McKinley High School and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired mechanic for Jim's Sohio, retiring in 1970. Mr. Anthony was a member of First Christian Church, was a Mason and a member of Canton Lodge #60 F. A.M. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Anthony in 1951. Survivors include his second wife and friend, Pauline Anthony of Canton, OH.
