ELLINGER NEWSFuneral services were held at the Jecmenek Funeral Home chapel, with continued services at the CMB church at Ross Prairie Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 for Mrs. Minnie Urban, 65, who died suddenly at her home Monday afternoon following a heart attack. Rev. H.E. Beseda officiated and interment was in the CMB cemetery.Mrs. Urban suffered a broken arm two weeks ago and was recuperating nicely. She was preparing to go to her family physician for further treatments when she suffered the attack.The deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stepan Slovacek, and was born near Ellinger. She spent all of her life in this community. She was a devoted member of the CMB church at Ross Prairie and the Christian Sisters Society.Surviving are two sons, Leo and Otto of Ellinger; and one daughter, Miss Alma Urban of Houston; seven sisters, Mrs. Frances Batla of Ellinger, Mrs. Thomas Hlinsky of Ellinger; Mrs. Terezie Haluska of Ellinger; Mrs. Louise Bartosh of Ellinger; Miss Mary Slovacek of Ellinger; Mrs. Sophia Zgabaj and Miss Julia Urban of Guy.Her husband preceded her in death 10 years ago and she had been making her home with her two sons and her sister, Miss Mary Slovacek.La Grange Journal, La Grange, Texas - Thursday, April 21, 1949
