Howard Barta died Friday, March 3, 2023 in Omaha. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at the McKown Funeral Home. Howard Barta was born April 2, 1963 in Lexington, Nebraska to Donald and Helen (Ropers) Barta. He grew up in Lexington where he graduated from high school in 1981. He moved to Columbus in 1993. He worked at Behlen Mfg. for 14 years and later at CMNI for 10 years. He served as a mechanic in the National Guard Company B 195 Armor Division from 1980-1989. He enjoyed camping fishing and crocheting. He was enjoyed animals and loved feeding the birds. Howard is survived by his siblings: Gladys (Greg) Johnson of Columbus Zelda (Dennis) Wood of Duncan Roger Barta of Lexington Glen Barta of Mt. Washington, KY Along with his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nephews He was preceded in death by his parents.
