FORT WORTH -- Winona "Pearl" Wright Young, 88, went to be with her Savior on Friday, June 14, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Hallmark Baptist Church, 4201 W. Risinger Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hallmark Baptist Church missions or building funds. Pearl was born April 13, 1925, in Hood County near Tolar to Lorenzo Dow Wright Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Jackson Wright. The country girl came to the big city after graduation and went to work at Montgomery Ward. After the war, she met Bob Young, and they married three weeks later. They were the love of each other's lives and were married for 67 years before his death just six weeks ago. Three daughters were born to this union, and many of the girls' friends and nieces and nephews came to think of themselves as one of their girls and boys. Pearl lived the Proverbs 31 life before her family, extended family, and church family, and all who knew her. Proverbs 31:10: Who can find a virtuous woman? Dor her worth is far above rubies. Bob and Pearl were faithful workers at Hallmark Baptist for 46 years. Their legacy will go on as the Word of God is spread. She was preceded in death by her parents; her older sister, Juanita Mayo; and the love of her life, husband, Robert "Bob" Young. Survivors: She is survived by their daughters, Gemetha Carter (Albert), Rhonda Walker (Johnny) and Vicki Peters; grandchildren, Joe Guidry, Mark Guidry, Julie Kiene, Stephanie Barker, Danny Farr, Heather Bradley, William Warren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert J. Wright; sister, Dowlene Cooper; and sisters-in-law, Mary Mullins and Barbara Bristow.
